Stephen Mace
Stephen is a licensed massage therapist and has a unique desire to
teach health to every-body. He has taught Anatomy, Physiology, Swedish
and Medical Massage Therapy, The business of healing, Professional
Ethics, and Reiki for several schools including Texas Massage Institute,
Austin School of Massage Therapy, Advanced Holistic Healing Arts and now
teaches for and runs the Pangaea Institute of Natural Healing.
Stephen began his healing path in Ghana, while studying
West African drumming and dance, following a series of premonitions and
two of the very influential people, his rhythm guitarist (a lay
herbalist) and his drum teacher (village healer). After using only
natural means to cure himself of a severe case of pneumonia, he was
convinced that this was in fact his path.
A life long student, Stephen believes that education can
be fun and should be available to anyone regardless of their background.
He has experience with teaching adult learners with educational
difficulties and learning disabilities and has designed our curriculum
to address a variety of learning styles such as visual, auditory,
kinesthetic, meditative and exploratory.
Stephen practices massage and bodywork and teaches the
Healing Arts Apprenticeship.
